  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown and granulated sugars until creamy. Add eggs one at a time while whisking continuously.
  3. Gradually mix in rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
