  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 6 soft slider buns
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Set up a breading station: one bowl with 1 cup flour seasoned with salt and pepper, another with 2 beaten eggs, and the last with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each chicken piece in flour, then egg, and coat thoroughly in breadcrumbs.
