  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, melt the butter, then mix in cocoa powder and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs for the cookie dough layer.
  6. Stir in flour, salt, and chocolate chips until thick dough forms.
  7. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan; layer spoonfuls of cookie dough on top.
  8. Pour remaining brownie batter over the cookie layer and swirl with a knife.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; let cool before cutting.
