Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a large pot. Remove from heat and add black tea bags; steep for 5 minutes.
  2. While the tea steeps, wash and slice the peaches into thin wedges.
  3. Remove tea bags and stir in ½ cup sugar while tea is warm until dissolved.
  4. Add ¼ cup lemon juice and mix well.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine brewed tea, sliced peaches, and mint leaves if using. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with mint or peach slices.
