  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil water in a large pot and salt it generously. Cook spaghetti until al dente (8-10 minutes), then drain.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir the marinara sauce into the beef and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti, followed by half of the meat sauce and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella cheese.
