Description

Ingredients

  • 12 oz smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add sliced kielbasa and sauté until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and fresh spinach; cook until the garlic is fragrant and spinach wilts, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  4. Pour heavy cream into the skillet with kielbasa and spinach; stir well and simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add drained pasta and grated Parmesan; mix thoroughly, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
