Description

Crispy shrimp balls with sweet chili sauce are a delightful fusion of crunchy textures and vibrant flavors. These golden-brown bites are filled with tender shrimp and paired perfectly with a tangy-sweet chili sauce, making them an irresistible snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the shrimp on a cutting board until small pieces are formed.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chopped shrimp, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, eggs, and chopped green onions. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into uniform balls using about two tablespoons per ball.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Test with a breadcrumb; it should sizzle when ready.
  5. Fry the shrimp balls in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sweet chili sauce.
