  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (cut into sticks)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella into thick sticks (about 1 inch wide).
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko mixed with Italian seasoning.
  3. Dip each cheese stick first in flour, then egg, followed by breadcrumbs. Press firmly to coat.
  4. Freeze the coated sticks for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
