- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup whole milk (240ml)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (115g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup light brown sugar (100g)
Instructions
- Warm the milk until lukewarm and combine it with active dry yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, salt, and melted butter. Add yeast mixture and eggs; stir until combined.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Roll out dough into a rectangle after rising; spread softened butter over it and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly from one long side to form a log; pinch seams to seal.
- Place in a greased loaf pan and let rise until doubled again (30-45 minutes). Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow when tapped. Cool before slicing.
