Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale. Gently fold in dry ingredients along with whole milk until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. While cooling, mix evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and remaining cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a fork or toothpick and slowly pour the soaking mixture over it.
  7. Whip heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form and spread over the soaked cake.
  8. Garnish with additional cinnamon or fruit before serving.
