Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) fresh salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 2 tbsp Moroccan spice blend (cumin, coriander, paprika)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Moroccan spice blend with salt and pepper. Rub olive oil on each fillet and coat generously with the spice mix.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down for 5-6 minutes until crispy. Flip carefully.
  4. Transfer skillet to preheated oven for an additional 6-8 minutes until cooked through but moist.
  5. In another bowl, mix Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, cumin powder, salt, pepper, and chili flakes if using until smooth.
  6. Serve salmon topped with lemon yogurt sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.
