- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent; then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Increase the heat slightly and add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- In a separate pot, boil water and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning into the skillet. Simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until well-coated with sauce. Sprinkle cheese on top and let it melt.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
