  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and add Cajun seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss in cooked fettuccine and Parmesan cheese. Mix well, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
