- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and add Cajun seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss in cooked fettuccine and Parmesan cheese. Mix well, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
