Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan and sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom.
- Arrange pecans in a single layer over the brown sugar. Melt butter and pour over pecans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the creamed mixture, alternating with milk and vanilla.
- Pour batter over the pecan mixture and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before flipping onto a serving plate.
