- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 oz dark chocolate (melted)
- 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gently fold in cocoa powder and flour until just combined. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until moist crumbs adhere to a toothpick.
- While cooling, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in melted dark chocolate gently.
- Once brownies are cool, spread half of the mousse over them. Top with remaining brownie pieces and layer with more mousse.
- Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
