- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Optional: 1 tsp red pepper flakes (for heat)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and half of the orange juice. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Drain excess marinade and coat chicken pieces in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side).
- In another pan, combine remaining orange juice, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thickened.
- Toss fried chicken in the sauce until well coated. Serve hot.
