- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2–3 large eggs
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk mixed with salt and pepper for at least two hours or overnight.
- Set up a breading station with seasoned flour and an egg wash (beaten eggs).
- Dredge the marinated chicken first in flour, then egg wash, and return to flour for an even coating.
- Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry coated chicken pieces for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
